Cult Collective is an artistic community committed to enhancing the artistic landscape of the south-east.

We recognize the power and creativity in the south-east, particularly in Kilkenny, where we’re based. As Kilkenny-born-and-based creatives, our goal is to create and maintain a healthy artistic landscape that can allow artists to thrive outside the big Irish cities (Dublin, we’re looking at you). Here at Cult, we want to help fund your passion project, produce your next big hit, or offer advice about how to get that short film made. Regardless of the artform, we’re committed to helping you grow as an artist. Below you can find a directory of Cult Collective members, all from or based in the south-east.

Our Story.

Cult Collective began as Cult Theatre 2016 as a mission to bring independent, experimental theatre to the people of Kilkenny. It began as a passion project between Anna Ní Dhúill and Éadaoin Kennedy who were both seventeen at the time and condemned to undertake the Leaving Cert. Realizing we’d much rather spend our time making art for free than study, they re-wrote Reservoir Dogs for stage and put it on in the back of Cleere’s pub.

Since lockdown and the post-Covid, Cult had been struggling to get back on their feet, but in 2023 re-launched as Cult Collective, expanding their horizons about what the cultural landscape could look like in Kilkenny.
